I joined NIKPA in 2017, the same year I became a “gift of life” recipient.

Why I did I become a member you’re wondering…?
I had been in declining health for many years, and I fought it right up until 2 weeks before dialysis. In that time, I had made many trips to the clinic and subsequently had to attend dialysis treatment.

During those years I observed the strength of people around me, of the human spirit, to not give up, choosing to live in that Realm of HOPE. I’d like to support that in my work with NIKPA. My transplant gave me clarity of mind – to see life differently.

Volunteering in NIKPA! It’s a fulfilling start to giving something back, particularly to the Renal community.
